We are a local family funeral directors and we have four funeral homes on the Fylde Coast. Our Funeral Directors is called Northern Cremations and you can see our traditional website here. www.northerncremations.co.uk.

What is Direct Cremation?

Direct Cremation is a simple cremation where the person is cremated in private with no mourners present.

Where does the cremation take place?

We use our local crematoriums either Carleton or Lytham Park. Both crematoriums are on the Fylde Coast.

Do I get the ashes back?

Yes they are available for collection 48 hours after the cremation takes place. if you wish for them to be returned we can either send them via courier or hand delivered. Additional costs apply.

Can I come to see my loved one in a chapel of rest?

Unlike the many online companies offering direct cremations, we are in fact a normal traditional funeral directors. This means you can come to see your loved one in our chapel. We will dress them in either their own clothes or a funeral gown. We do not charge extra for viewing and you can come as often as you want to see them. As far as we know we are the only funeral directors offering this service with direct cremations.

Can we come to the funeral?

Unfortunately you can not attend the cremation. We have made arrangements with Lytham Crematorium to allow mourners to attend at a increased cost of £400. The crematorium will then allow a 30 minute chapel time and your own music can be played.

Can I pre pay for my direct cremations?

Yes absolutely, We use a planning company called Safe Hands. the cost to Pre plan and Pay for your Direct Cremation Service is £1695.
